Our curriculum guidelines are set out by the government.

At the present time we follow the Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage (3 – 5yrs) which incorporates a set of stepping stones children will work through and achieve whilst with us.

For younger children we also use The birth to three framework (0 – 3yrs). This again incorporates various aspects of learning children move through at an early age.

These guidelines are set out to ensure we as practitioners give your child the best possible start and we plan our topics and acitivites to ensure your child works through these and achieves to the best of their ability.

We continuously have children attending with various special needs and abilities. We work closly with parents and outside agencies such as speech therapists, advisory teachers, occupational therapists etc to ensure that thses children are supported fully and are included in every aspect of our pre-school.

From September 2008 a new framework will be introduced.

which amalgamates the two and covers learning from 0 – 5.
